Hey,,,,, let's look on the bright side,,,,,, This just means we will be expanding our "Diesel Family Neighborhood" a little further down South! There can be the "Movin the Smurfs South" get-together,,,,, the "1st Annual Smurf's Florida Cook-Out" weekend,,,,,,,, the "Smurf's Daytona Bike Week Rendezvous" weekend,,,,, and the list goes on. 
Just cause they're moving,,,, don't mean the friendship and good time get togethers are over with.

I wanted to update everyone on our plans for this weekend.
We are planning on meeting for a Saturday night "going away" dinner (12-9-06) for Chris and Leigh at "Logan's Roadhouse" located at 1177 Western Blvd. in Jacksonville, N.C. @ 5:00 P.M. This restaurant is located right next to "Lowes."
Then on Sunday, 12-10-06, we will be meeting at "Coastal Plains Dragway" to run our trucks on the dragstrip. Gates open at 12:00 Noon. Admission prices to race are usually $15.00, spectators fee is $8.00.
The weather is supposed to be sunny, but cooler, with a high around 60 degrees. Nice cool weather for the diesels to run good!
Hope to see alot of our group there! This will probably be the last time we will get to see Leigh as she will be leaving probably by the end of the month to report to her new base assignment in Jacksonville, Fla. These two members of our "N.C. DTR Crew" have been very instrumental in making the annual "N.C. Dyno and Drag Race" a success the past four (4) years. Come out to thank them for the support they have given our chapter.

Tim, I'm glad you and your Dad will be able to make it. My buddy Mark seems to like the Smarty so far.
I'm glad I'll be able to come down to welcome Leigh home and wish them both well for the future.

Great hearing from you again. I too like the idea of the future down south get togethers. Hope you and your family is doing well and have a merry Christmas. Course once I move to to either south East Ga or north East Fl. I will really be able to mess with Dennis about being from up NORTH.

I have nothing to worry about as long as you hang on to that Yankee accent of yours,,,,, remember that I was the one who had to act as a translator between you and the woman behind the counter at Radio Shack when we were in GA the last time.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it down for the dinner on Sat, but I will be there for Sunday. Just make sure someone does the ordering for Papa Smurf cause he tends to have problems communicating with the waitresses at times. (chives)
