you cant use it for like 48 hours or so....they tell u like 24 but i always have wait longer on the 3 i have had done. i would say yes to helping except it is a big job...8 hour or so maybe. maybe more for drying time. thats def on that i would say go to someone to have done. if your going to do it get it line-x'ed....by far nicer than anything else.

Thats what I want to do, but don't really want to spend $600 on it.

to do it yourself it would be about $250-$350 for the bed liner, $25-$50 for the cleaning stuff. then your need sandpaper, lots or tape that painters plastic, and lots of time... so if you do it right it would be in the $450-$500 range to do it yourself. with the do it yourself stuff just from expirence you need at least 2-3-4 coats, even though a lot say 1-2 is fine.

I agree. I did the herculiner on a beater truck and it looks no where close as nice as the prof. spray on.

Okay, I didn't realize it would be that much. I really want to do it, but can't afford the price tag.

If I do it, I want the bed and the inside of the toolbox done. No rails for me, as I have the dimond plate bed rail caps on my truck.

Tom, I would offer a helping hand or two, depending on when ya do it, but like has been said, it is a very lengthy, involved process. My father used the herculiner, but you have to reapply it almost annually if you USE your truck. I did spray on Duplicolor on the rockers/lower doors/fender flares/bumpers of my BlaZeR2, and it took waaaay longer than I expected.

BTW, while I am aiming at you, mind shootin' me a PM of a "good" $tealer$hip?

BTW #2, Steve, do you still have those gauges available? I finally got a call back from my bud with the '02 in need of a monitoring system.

PM's sent, thanks fellas.

Truck has been behaving rather well lately, seemingly normal startups with no smoke this morning (grid heaters actually came on, GOTTA download the upgrade for the Predator...) and less white smoke than I was seeing. Currently got bored, couldn't take it anymore so bumped the puck back into action, but only to 50hp setting.

Tom, what are you thinking about the bedliner options?

It is officially hay season, my body hurts, I am tired as a dog, and smell slightly worse than that same dog... later.

I think I may just put a little cash away each month and then do the line-x spray where Bryan got his done. I have seen his in person, and it is almost as thick as my plastic bedliner. Summer time is tough because I am using the truck almost everyday for all kinds of stuff. Maybe in the fall/early winter. I may do my toolbox sooner than that. Steve, you still have some stuff left?

Where did you guys get you line-x done? We're looking at getting 2 trucks done over the bed rail. My 2000 and the new 07.
