I'll try to grab some of those signs littering the side of the road too. They make great targets.
Yeah I don't know who leaving all these pesky signs on the side of the road.
They look like traffic hazards to me, cuz they're all attached to 4X4 posts stickin' outta the ground just off the pavement.
Good thing we're gonna eliminate those safety violations.
Think the county will give us a medal?

Getting ready to eat my daily bowl-o-bran and head out the door. Got 12 loaded up to bring along, hope the truck don't lean too much and give me away. You guys will bail me out right? Right?

I'm bringing a hundred rounds or so of 9 if ya's want to shoot one of mine. And the wrist breaker if you dare....

Hope Chris has a water supply, I'm bringing a few gallon jugs too. See ya's in a few hours.

Sorry I couldn’t make it this time, guys. Too many things to do before the fiancé comes up on Thursday.

Hope you all had a good time and maybe I’ll bring her the next time.

Well, I'll be the first to say that was a blast literally. Thanks to Stamey's intuitive thinking, we got to see what my 30-30 would do to an overdue large size bottle of Texas Pete hot sauce. It rained Texas Pete for 20 minutes after I hit it. Found out that body armor wouldn't stop my 454 Cassull. Several people dropped the hammer on that 454 and said "it's brutal" all the while asking for more rounds. That thing hits you like a freight train when you drop the hammer.
Ed's microwave no longer microwaves, Dennis' TV not longer gets a good picture and his home stereo is now plastic rubble. Sorry about that Ev. Ed's antique trunk is now a water sprinkler. The only thing we were missing was a few dozen pumpkins.
Shot a milk jug full of water at about 250 yards and vaporized it with the 30-06. Blew up a few bowling pins and a bowling ball nicely. Rick had some stuff there I can't even remember what it was except that it was bad to the bone. My son had a 45 and a 40 and his wife had a 22 she shot a few times. There was an AR there that was SCHWEEEEET for sure. Couple of shotguns and some other pretty cool stuff. Dennis had guns hanging out of every pocket at one point. Ed pushed his wheelbarrow load of weapons up all at one time. There was approximately 2000 rounds plowed into the back stop today I would guess.

The food was excellent and thanks to those that supplied and cooked that too. This is definately a "MUST DO AGAIN" event here. Next time, we need some more appliances though. I want to bring my generator and have the appliances running when we shoot just to see what happens.

I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to the next one. I'm sure a few others will remember the events of the day and add a few more comments for your viewing pleasure. A good time was had by all.

I must say I had a great time. I have not had so much fire power onsite before, well, ever. I never felt so safe before, even though Dennis was walking around armed to the teeth.

Dodgezilla makes great chicken. He even left the leftovers for me. Thanks! He left his tongs here too though. You coming to the drag races next weekend? I can give them back to you then.

If anyone, now that they know the layout, has ideas for other "reactionary" targets, bring'em on. I have a few ideas but have not taken time to go through with them since I have not been using the range as much as I'd like.

Remember, if anyone runs across any steel plate 3/8" to 3/4", rebar, or tube to go over the rebar, grab it. I'll make targets out of it. I dunno if I can make targets thick enough to stop what some of youse guys were shootin' though.

Just got in from the Birthday celebration.
(Only 2 hours late American time........Right on time by the Peruvian clock.)

Had a ball at the Chapter 7 Appliance Recyling & meet & eat.

We have GOT to do that again sometime.
If you missed it, you missed a totaly fun get toether.
Fired all kinds of ordinance (including Joel's 'handgun' that probably needs a bipod and an assistant loader)
The 454 Cassull is a serious handfull to shoot, but a ball.

Sent several appliances to that big Circuit City in the sky.

Next time we'll have to have a video camera to show the results from a direct hit on a large bottle of Texas Pete by a 30.06.
Also you wouldn't believe the effect a 9mm or a .45 has on a bowling ball.

Thanks to Dodgezilla for cooking up the most excellent eats, and huge thanks to Stamey for allowing us to invade his property for the day.

Time to hit the sack.

"I'm sorry Boss, I won't be coming to work today."
"The 'voices' told me to stay home and clean the guns."

Thanks for the kind words about the cooking guys. It was fun. I wanted to stay longer and use up some more of this AR ammo but that chicken took forever to cook and I needed to get home to my daughter. Thanks Stamey for letting us use your firing range. Sorry about all the windows in your house but I just couldn't help myself.. Just keep the tongs. I have more..
What's more fun than Diesel trucks, good food, a bunch of guys (and one girl) blasting away with just about every gun imaginable. I'll definitely be there for the next one.....

Talking What a BLAST

Hats off the Stamey for providing a great place to have this event. Mike (Dodgezilla) has been promoted to the" Official VADTR Chapter #7 Chef" position because his cookin is great, We also have some free appliances to give away. Microwave oven good for cookin swiss cheeze (may need a tad bit of electrical work),,,,, a TV for watching or a stereo for listening to religous programs only (very holy). ,,,,,,, (and get this,,,,,,, we will even supply a trunk to carry them in which is very light weight,,, well ventilated and scented with the aroma of Texas Pete)
I only had a couple of guns,,,,,,,, nothing compared to the arsenal that the rest of the bunch brought! It's a good thing that they all were driving CTDs with overload springs. Rick had some impressive toys that just seemed to keep coming out of the truck,,,,, Ya ever seen a two shot derringer that shot BIG caliber shells and/or 410 shotgun shells?
I'll get some pics put up after I get some stuff done around the house that I didn't do yesterday.
I had a great time and I hope we can do it again.

My boss, after hearing about what we did on Sunday, is donating his old dishwasher. The motor still runs, but the water solenoid never opens so it spins and gets smoky inside, from what he said. If we do the generator thing we can wire this up and see what it does, getting aerated while "washing dishes".
