You're faster than me.. Ive had my truck for a year, and havent even ordered the gauges yet I figure on it taking a solid day to get done, but I figure, between you and maybe Tye, and myself, it might not take that long The actual mounting won't take much, as Im fairly mechanical, but the drilling and tapping, and the electrical work won't be my strong suit

I'm definetly no expert. The experts are right here on DTR. There the only reason I was able to do it myself. The only thing that I didn't like, made me nervous, was drilling and tapping the manifold, but after it was done it was no big deal, pretty easy.

Piece o' cake.....

Are we talking digital or analog gauges? I have tools and room to BOMB maybe two trucks at a time, parking for maybe 4 more.

What I don't have is shade, and it's been like Africa hot here the last few weeks....

Also have a sweet new BBQ....

Yup, they will be analog.. One thing on the fuel pressure gauge, Ive only been able to find mechanical guages that go to 15 lbs of pressure, but I can get electrical FP gauges all the way up to 100 pounds.. which FP gauges are you guys running, and what would you reccomend?

Cowhand,
If you can provide the place to wrench, and BBQ, I wiwll provide carne asada and cerveza's for anyone who wishes to help....

I believe, if cowhand is down for it, and his sig. other doesnt mind, it sounds as though he has the room and a bbq. I believe he is in Norco, CA...

Buckshotmckee,
Sounds good.. I think that'll be the one I go with.. a bit cheaper, in order to not need an isolator and such.

I'm up for it....I'll run it by my social coordinator and see if she's cool with it.

I'm in Norco, for those of you not familiar it's off of I-15 between Rte. 91 and 60.

I'll come up with some dates and throw them out here......

Buckshot the only one with a 2nd gen? I'm not sure I can deal with all you 3rd gen guys parked in my driveway.....might make me feel inadequate. My 9 year old beat up heap might get jealous

Kinda like bringing hot college chicks over to the house while my wife is home...

Wife is cool with the BOMB party. My compressor is belly up so no air available, but I think I can accomodate gauges and hanging an exhaust.

How about a consensus for August 20 or 27? It's a Saturday.....

Count me in. Give me enough time to buy a transmission, and I'm in for sure! Another hand or two holding the trans in place while I get the first two bolts snugged down sounds like a perfect Saturday for me.

Ok, Cowhand, since you're providing the place, and the BBQ, I will provide the carne asada and beer... IF it can be the 27th... I have to work the weekend before, so its a no go for me on the 20th. Im thinking gauges and maybe a straight pipe on mine.... Gauges for sure, but straight pipe might be out.. depends on the funds.. Getting ready to order gauges within the next couple days, so that will be good to go. Just gotta make the fianl decision, do I need a fuel pressure gauge or not LOL Sounds like it should be a fun time.. Is carne asada and beer and soda cool with everyone? I don't plan on drinkin much, as Im going to be driving home.. I may have one or two, but that'll be it.
