i live in Greensboro, NC and would like to know where the nearest local chapter of the DTR is to me? I know there are some in Virginia as well as NC. Thanks for the reply.

 

Tim welcome to the site!, We do not have one set up in North Carolina Yet but that could change anyday. You are welcome to join any chapter you want to get involved until one opens closer to you, or you can take the plunge and start one yourself. <br> I know for a fact there are many guys in NC that would like to get in one as well once it gets started. I myself will probably Join the Virginia one for now as I do not have time to make a decent effort on a chapter here and do the National chapter work as well.<br><br> Let me know what you decide and If you want to consider starting a chapter I will send you the paperwork, if you want to hook up with another chapter for now, I can send you an application for that as well. We have a couple of folks here in Raleigh and some all over North Carolina. The website is based in Raleigh as well. Again, welcome aboard. Top is the man for the chapters.

Chapter #7 is below Richmond and is the only one I know of at this time in Va.

 

Howdy, I thought we already had a chapter in N.C.. I thought it was started last year. The MITDR, Pres. Wes, Vice. Pres. Chris, Sec. David. Or was I drunk? Anyway timedewaltman, we meet every month to other month, when ever we can get everybody together. Some of us camp, Do you have a camper? We go to Virg. and they come down here. Welcome Timdewaltman<br> There are a few of us NC turbo heads out here. The chapter Scott is talking about is the Mid Atlantic TDR that is from the other site. We have a core group of roughly 6/8 guys that get together and shoot the breeze. This last month we tried to get together but due to the weather only a few of the brave hearted ones(or foolish ones) where able to make it. The smart ones stayed at home. ;D ;D It was a bad weekend due to a ice storm in the area. There are a few of us talking about getting a N C chapter started, so far it has been just talk if you want to grab the bull by the horns then all I can say is GO FOR IT. I told the truth too, I didn't even stretch it. That guy in the next camper was the final straw to the event. Look forward to the next meet but not at that place.

 

thanks for the reply Kimrey, Kieth and Chris. your some of the guys that i tried to meet in ashboro a couple weeks ago.<br>i couldn't get to the camp cause they had the road blocked.<br>yes, i've got a 24ft. travel trailer and like to camp. there is a real good place here in greensboro to camp. its a city owned park with about 75 sites open year round. groups can even reserve a nice picnic shelter with fireplace and pit for bonfires just steps from nice,level, grassy campsites. full hookups and two nice bath houses with showers. <br>let me know when you guys plan something (MIDTR or VADTR#7)<br>thanks,<br>tim

I am planning to have a meeting for Virginia Chapter #7 in Smithfield Virginia one week end in January. Will be the 11th, 18th, or the 25th. Leaning more towards the 25th right now. timdewaltman, I love to camp. That campground sounds like a camping trip in Jan.! I'll camp no matter what the weather! Outrider, you have the ultamit party place, that would be a good place for a big meet in the spring? I'm throwing ideas around, I need a calander just for the TDR, DTR events.
