Napa. They should have some 4" muffler clamps. If they don't then call one of your local big rig shops. They'll definately have them.

Are the 05 stock exhausts 4"?
Tbone - you talking removing the muffler...or inserting the straight pipe inside?

If you need band clamps... get the 4" wide or wider!

I'll be replacing 2 front shocks... and maybe the tail pipe. May also need to borrow your Sawzall, Mr President

Anyboby interested in two, lightly used, Bilstein frt. shocks for non lifted truck?

RJ

I'd suggest running a muffler. My buddy has the muffler delete kit on his 03 and it drones so bad in the cab. Worse than my stacks do.

Rowland why are you changing out your tailpipe?

Tbone - there is a kit that straight pipes through a muffler, just for show (for the cops). Did not know which you had bought?

BB - Took the SS Tip off mine. Can't keep it clean and has lots of stone nicks. Since going to 35" tires, my mudflaps don't keep debris off truck qtr panels or exhaust.
Saw a pic of a 24" tip running straight back (and down a little) on someones truck. Liked it and did an impulse buy then & there from Rip...5.5"x24". Have to cut last bend off the MBRP tail pipe to install it. It should keep debris from tires off the tip.

BUT...I kind of like the look if MBRP w/o tip and not cool with the idea of blowing smoke straight back??? And once I cut...no going back
Can't decide. Will bring pic, if I can find it again, and new tip to Sedalia and ask for everyone's opinion.

Signed....Unsure?

If this tip actually goes straight back under the bumper than don't do it. I have a feeling that it won't look that good. If it is still angled and comes out where the quarter panel and bumper meet, then that would look alright. I thought you didn't have a problem with smoke now?

I'm actually working on a setup that has an exhaust pipe right behind my licensce plate. I flip a switch and the licensce plate flips up and the exhaust is routed from the stacks to this pipe. This switch would only be flipped for those who deserve it.

Rowland, have you thought about the truned down twin exhaust. In some pics, they look pretty good, but on others.....not so sure. At least they would turn the exhaust down and away, behind the truck.

It's between Westminster and Van Alstyne on FM 3133. Robert knows where it is.

on an 05....its not a simple Clamp on install......i have done a few and they are not like a 2nd gen. You got an offset/offest muffler....sooo a clamp is not a good way to seal unless your delete pipe has two bends on the end to help with the highth differance. AND welding is NO fun under thoes trucks.....but im not an under car exhaust weldor by no means!
