That's why I put a lift on the Grizzly. I have to get home and get my new axles in, then go find a place to play.

But remember...."Turn around, don't drown!"

Well, here I sit. I don't know if I should be PO'd or feel blessed that I am now somewhere I can get it fixed tomorrow. I think I'll feel blessed.

Although, having Ole' Red on the tow truck twice in one day makes me wonder. I blew a tire this morning out in the middle of no where and didn't feel like fighting the spare. Caught a ride to the next town, and had a used $35 tire put on and headed to Grand Junction to the nearest Discount Tire. They replaced the tire, no questions asked. Before I could make it out of the city limits, the VP died. Hard code 1688 and a few others. Dan put me on to DSI Diesel Service, where I'm spending the night on their parking lot.

Where the flat bed unloaded me, there just happened to be a plug on the pole next to me. At nearly 100*, I borrowed it to run the camper AC for awhile. I hope they don't care.

With a little luck, and a lot of $$$, I'll be back on the road sometime tomorrow.

The really bad part........I still haven't got to wet a hook.

Hurry home... can probably wet your hook anywhere you want... on your own property!
Not really a laughing matter... but what else is there to do?

Glad you got ahold of Dan! Sorry I could not be more help when you called. Also good you were near civilization when things went bad!
Guess the VP-44 explains the mileage question you had.

What's the road conditions in the DFW area? Hopefully it will clear up by next Thursday. We going to Lake Granbury for some wet fun (on the lake, not planning on white water rafting).

Robert,
Bummer about the accident.

The one guy whose thousands of miles away thinks to look a see if Diamond W Arena has a web site!!! That's why you make the big bucks, Justin.
Looks really nice! Lot's of covered parking for RV's & trucks. Indoor events... and indoor facilities!! Should be a great annual event.

I wanted to see what I might be missing out on.

And these days, I search for everything on Google, because almost everyone has a website. Google toolbar is my friend...

Highway 114 around the Trinity River is completely shut down for now. Since the Trinity is over flood stage, the water has no where to go and has backed up over the highway.

Lots of flooding problems around the area, but worse to the west of Ft. Worth along the Brazos River. No doubt Lake Granbury has plenty of water in it right now for your weekend fun.

The accident sucked, but you just have to be thankful it wasn't worse and take your lumps and go on. I sure don't feel safe driving these little cracker box Chevy Impalas......but i'd still rather hit the guy in that than my "precious" truck.

But, they are still predicting more rain so things could go from bad to much much worse.
