Yeah Abby, just think of what $1012 would have done towards mods....

That was the bill yesterday when i picked my truck up. I have put about 50 miles on it, and so far, so good. I will wait until after this weekend to see if the noise comes back that it was making before.

I am a little scared to get out on the road right now though, as i was on the interstate before when it grenaded and stranded me. Truck has to earn my confidence back now...

 

Didnt the shop that installed it 50 miles before want to stand behind their work? Sounds like they screwed up and should own up to it.



Abby, I figured out that truck that I keep seeing that is just like yours. I mean you cant tell the difference on the outside. Only real diff. is under the hood, its a gasser 2500

 

Ok guys & gals lets get a roll call of who is going to make it and who might make it .. and lets talk about food i was thinking about making a pot of red beans with andouille,tasso,with rice, hey hope you guys like a little cajun cooking...

 

I'll be there and I just posted to our 4x4 board to get a head count from them.

 

I'll be there! What to bring? Drinks or is that byod I suppose bring what ya want to drink is better there. Have we found a grill? I could probably load mine in the back of the truck.....somehow. It will fit 20-30 burgers. Are we having burgers/dogs/brats?? Then we need buns, catshup(spelling??), mustard...etc. Deserts? Pies? Cakes....brownies...cookies?? Plates...napkins and silverware...what else do we need. If we figure out how many mouths there will be to feed a couple of us could get some beef and pat some burgers together...much better than store bought patties. Put me down for about 3 pounds of beef....I'll pat the burgers out this week and freeze them so they'll be ready to cook. Potatoe salad? How about charcoal?

Well, have an appointment at the end of August at Browns Body shop in Columbia to get the ol' girl fixed back up. Said it'll be about 2 weeks to fix her. Great for my up and coming business.......no truck for two weeks.....

 

Oh....let me know of anything else I could bring and about the grill. Cajun sounds good....I'll bring the tums!!

Well, my vacation is over and it looks like all those who are interested still seem to be here. I figure just speek up what you will bring so we don 't double up on the food. Looks like 10-15 people so we can plan accordingly.

I have the Brats, and the buns for em' covered along with the condiments like relish, ketchup, and mustard. And one tub of potato salad.

 

Look here, Yall better tell me what to bring or I may just show up with nothing but myself Speak up and tell me what to bring!!!!!

 

I'll bring 4 pounds of hamburgers.....will that be enough? My 6 year old boy may go through a pound by himself!! I'll bring a couple dozen buns as well. Grill?? Anyone....bueller? bueller? I'll also see if my loving wife will make a couple dozen cowboy cookies. So set that in stone....

Not sure if Ill be joining you guys. My girlfriends grandma passed away Wed. night. It was totally unexpected. From what we've been told it was a massive heart attack. I didn't get a chance to meet her, but my gf and her mom are pretty torn up over it.

Well that's the bad news of the day....

Time for some better news. Smarty will be ordered within a week and more parts for my stacks showed up. So hopefully I'll get everything dialed in before I make an appearance.......

Hey , ya'll just wanted to let ya'll know I won't be able able to make this event . We're throwing a going away party at the lake for my neice whose been with us all summer....she's going to stewardess training for United Airlines. I'll be sure to drink a New Castle or two to remember ya'll by !

By the way...I am doing my hip replacement Sept 14 so I may be out a while.
