Sorry to hear that Prospector. The next meeting aftr this one will be at your house. That way you won't have any excuse not to attend .

Smokey, I have 2 sites reserved. I will occupy one. Don't know if anyone else will be camping there besides me and you, so you can have the other one.

Uh oh, looks like a conflict for me. I have a few youth with B-Days that week, and I am going home to see them and celebrate with them. Sorry guys. Oh by the way, did yall see the news on the smarty? I can't wait to trade off this 2nd gen version.

The SMARTY for the 3rd gen trucks will be available soon. Marco came to America and dyno'd it on a stock truck except for some tranny work, and it added 170 hp on the highest setting. That is stock air box, exhaust turbo and all. Only mode was some tranny work. There is a thread in the 3rd gen performance section I think the title is CR SMARTY ...... something something

OK.
I'm still trying to figure out "I can't wait to trade off this 2nd gen version."

I guess I'm a little extra-slow today.

I am gonna be able to trade my 2nd gen version of the SMARTY in on the 3rd gen version for my new to me truck. I had an 01 about a onth and a half ago, then traded it for the 03 I have now. I had a SMARTY for the 01, and now that the Common Rail (CR) version is coming ot, I will be able to swap for it. The SMARTY I have will work on all 98.5-02 engines, the new CR SMAARTY will work for my 03 and up to some point, prolly 04.5

I see. Maybe I'm awake now.

I've been eyeballing those smarty's and wondering how well one would work on my truck. I've got the trans & converter to handle it, but I'm not sure how I can get it past my wife, even at a "used" price.
