The way that Redleg described would probable be the easiest, but not the most direct. I would get off at the Morley exit and take back roads to M-20, that way you get a little more freeway and not as much traffic. But this way includes a lot of back roads. Also, I will be leaving from Remus (which is where 66 & 20 cross) if you want to follow me from there. Mountain Town is in the old down town, not hard to get to but it is always easier when following. Let me know.

Aren't those little cars funny to watch all the black smoke come out of them. The first time he told me I thought it would be a little smoke, but it smoked like a bombed truck when he stepped on it.

I was kind of worried about him winding up in some Amish barn or something. End up becomeing dinner instead of going to dinner. Of course, he'd probably join up if it wasn't for church 3 days a week and not being able to use the welder. Did you ever go to the veggie stand under 131 at Stanwood? I swear that guy has Froto's feet! They all remind me of giant Hobbitt's.

Nope, never been to that veggie stand. I tend to go to the ones that are in their yards so you know what kind of people they are. But if he does get lost with the Amish there would be a cheap truck for sale I bet he would end up trucking the Amish around though. When they find someone who will drive them around they are like the plague, can't hardly get rid of them. Also, they tend to call at 6am when most normal people are sleeping. They really are good people though, at least the ones that I know are.

Thanks Dave and Don for the directions! I'm from 'away' but Mike is a native so I'm sure he has a route all planned out in his mind! I was just wondering how long it'd take to get there from the Holland area to make sure, (in MY mind!), that we leave early enough. hopefully it won't snow and no one will hafta pry my white knuckles off the armrests when we get there!

Looks like I will see you guys at 4 pm Sat with a fresh tranny Fri night, Kevins trying to get his truck finished up to take it for a test ride, hopefully there is dry pavement. Holland is around 90 miles from Remus my brother drives it about every weekend.

Ok, change of plans here. Mike says following you would be the easiest for him, so I'll be sending you a PM with my cell phone and we'll figger it all out!

Thanks again!

Do I take a left at the house with the mailbox? Or do I wait 'til I see the house with the driveway?

It's 9:30PM Saturday nite and we just got home. What a great time! It was really a pleasure meeting all you guys.

When this 'meet and eat' was first proposed, I was hesitant to say I'd attend, mainly because I'm not really a people person or a social kinda guy. But I'm so glad I did now! You guys are as friendly and easy to talk to in person, as you are on this board! Even the 'Dura-Dope' guy was cool! (I think that's what his name was? )

Dave, thanks for letting us follow you! Made it a lot easier to find even tho Mike had been there a few years ago. I still wanna talk to you sometime about some ideas for the farm too. Mixing 'business' with dinner just didn't seem right, not that we had a lack of anything to talk about anyway!

And I'll be watchin' the mail for the brush Don!

Yeah, it was a good time. Looks like the concensus is to order 1 level rarer next time, but the place was nice, and they weren't rude and pushy about us sitting around. Too bad the table was so long, not everybody could hold a long conversation, but with a turnout like that, we may finally have better luck on getting a couple more scheduled. Glad you guys tok the time and hope to see you all again soon...
Don.

Chaikwa, I just got notice by the postal inspector, the package was leaking and they can neither forward it or return it, that it needed to be picked up in Detroit in person. I told him I'd be there wednesday, but he himmmd and hawd about directions. I kind of got the impression they already threw it out. i'll look into it further.
