Exclamation MD Chapter #33 Up coming events

Well i just checked out the Buck's web site and the schedule is up.
The first event for us in June 2nd, so lets plan something big. The more the merrier.
I have a couple guys that bring their campers up and stay the night. Plan on all day and late into the night. Bring your spouse and kids too they will have a blast.
So start posting your ideas.
Here is a link to the schedule.

I would like to see us do the June 2, July 21 & Sept 8 for sure. there are some other things we could go to as well. I'm sure TJ is up on all the other events i missed.

Is there some sort of area for camping up there, or is this like, an unorganized thing?

Just wondering.

the entire parking area is a big grass field that you can camp on for free, you can have bonfires (there are some fire rings) and drink if you like also, but no alcohol within the gates, out in the parking area its free reign tho as long as you are quiet after 11, and not too rowdy/unsafe

Cool, is it relatively level out there?

Me, my son and my nephew might roll up there with my camper. There is an RC track nearby there, we could make a weekend out of it.

umm its not too bad up by the woods where our group sets up, myself and leonard will be in tents, and scotts buddy sets up his mid-sized camper, so you can def set yours up there. hopefully we can get a whole group together and have some fun, best part is coming out after the show and not having to drive home if you camp out.

I have electric up front and crank downs for the back, but it has to be pretty close to get unhooked (safely) from the truck and all.
I carry some 2X6's that I can back up onto to take out the side to side.

Do most of you head up Friday night or early Saturday? Just thinking of the logistics here. Not sure if I can talk the family into it or not. Sounds like a blast though!

PJ, there is plenty of room for your 5'er, there is a gravel road that goes about half way back to the edge of the woods where we setup, and after that just a gently rolling field. There is tons of room, I am sure you have been in campgrounds that are much harder to manuver into.

Hey Scott, as each event gets closer, we should look into getting a head count and possibly taking advantage of the group rate and reserved seating.

I probably won't make the June 2 pull, I'll be at R&T Steam School all day.

Sounds like a good time. I have a 29' 5th bunkhouse, single slide. If I load it up max wt. is just shy of 12k. Is the spot you talk about solid enough for that? Haven't talked with the wife about it yet but I'm sure she will want to go, I know my daughter will want too.

Talking this could be huge

Here is a pic from last year. As you can see there is plenty of room for big campers.

that's Wayne's Weekend warrior in the back and some very rich guys big International Rv to the left.
We'll have to get there early to claim our spot, or get a count of all the campers and get someone to claim our stake.
This IS GONNA BE BIG!!!!
