a 21st birthday that requires evening gowns, and suits...that like wiping before you poo...just dont make sense

 

Sorry to hear about the closing Scott. My family had to do the same thing several years ago, furniture store, dad was puttin more in to it than he was getting out. Luckily he had some real estate income to fall back on, but the furniture store was a family business from 1950, grandfather started it. It's hard to see all that hard work of owning and operating your own business go for not . But like you said, I'm sure any stress you had will go down considerably, too.

Looks like I'll be able to make the meet and greet this Sat. My wife and daughter will be coming along . Let me know what we can bring.

 

Did any of you guys make it down to Ocean City, MD for Cruisin' this weekend? I didn't see that many dodges, but holy GOD there were a lot of powerstrokes.

 

Most of us were too busy or worried about trouble. I had a few friends that went down, and it sounded like the Powerstrokes did nothing for diesel truck owners. Lots of smokin' with beds full of drunk guys hootin' and hollerin. My buddies were a little worried about the diesel heads down there. Hope they didn't give us all a bad name.

 

They did. I saw some trucks with as many as 10+ people drunk in the beds. I think the cops had bigger fish to fry because they seemed to leave them alone suprisingly. Truth be told, at 23 years old, I had my first real moment this weekend where i said to myself "****, you're getting old". The drunk skanks in the back of the trucks absolutely repulsed me, the drivers acting like idiots angered me, and all around, I found myself not enjoying the experience of being down there nearly as much as I used to. There's absolutely nothing hot about a girl in the back of a truck that's drunk enough to flash people for doing burnouts. And no, I'm not gay, I have a wife. haha.

scott i got your e-mail i will be over this saturday to finish up the deadbolts finally and enjoy the get together/bonfire. if you need some wood for the bonfire let me know we have plenty behind our shop. mostly pallets and old wood doors.

 

I got the e-mail as well. We start Midnights this Saturday for a month. I got the wonderful days off of Sunday night and Monday night. Oh well, so much for seniority.

 

Got it, will be there with family in tow. Not sure what time but we'll be there in the afternoon. Give me call on the cell if you want me to bring anything besides BYOB and a dessert (what I planned to bring).

 

That sounds great!! The only problem is I will be in Washington State from tomorrow until the following Wednesday.

I need an enclosed trailer for the weekend. As big a one as anyone has. Gotta move all the stuff out of WTG to a storage place, anyone have one?
