Talking MD Chapter #33 Good Friday

Well i decided to get together with P.J on Friday and do his clutch.
Shouldn't take too long, if you are off and want to stop in feel free to do so.
We will be starting @ about 8 AM. I gotta go make the wings @ 4pm.

What time on Friday? I'll probably be at work all day, but would like to see a 6-speed come out.

We're talking early, like 8' ish.
My boy usually gets on the school bus around 10 after, I'll leave then and be down there right around 8, traffic depending of course.

Eric's (NavyCheif) comments in another thread are making me wonder if I should have gotten the hydraulic upgrade to go along with it.........
Oh well, it can always be done later.

If you were to order it today you might have it by Thursday. Do it right once the first time.
It's your call.

i will guarantee that if you call peter he will have it to you in 2 days.

its $200 and its NICE, pedal effort will still be the same, but the DD clutches wear out the stock hydraulics, and you dont wanna be stranded on the road somewhere!

Still on, right Scotte? I talked to Peter at South Bend the other day, he wanted to know if I had opened it up to take a look at the parts. I told him I was skeert, I was going to wait until I got down your place to mess with it.

Yes, I actually just got back home from getting it.

I'll be leaving here at about 7 or so I forgot school is out for spring break, so I don't have bus stop responsibilities.

Wish us luck!

Got er done!
It was a you know what in the you know where but we got it done in about 6 hours.
Getting the tranny back in was a bear but after a lot of cussin we got it.
It rattles just like TJ's that's just the nature of the beast, but P.J was happy.
the instructions are not very good at best, installing the new clutch hydraulics was a pain too with no instructions.

Yes, mission accomplished! It is kinda chattery, but I'll get used to it. It drove and shifted fine, little sticky getting into first and reverse, no biggie though.

Over all it went pretty smooth, Scotte is great to work with, very knowledgeable and confident. I like to throw some cussing in no matter the situation, so even if it went 100% as planned I would have dropped some choice words.

The hydros were a pain, I have to get the reservior mounted up to the fiirewall, it's kind of tricky to drill/screw on that angle.
