Thumbs up Indiana Chapter # 29 Get-to-gether

Ok!! That was a first for me. Enjoyed myself, and the guys there. Kinda wish I had Dyno'd my truck. Had the wife with me but she wouldn't get out of the truck. Was very glad to see and talk with you all. I gathered some new idea's for my truck. Does anyone know what truck had the most HP & TQ? And who it was, I didn't get there until about 2pm. When I left , the most I seen was 410hp w/900 + torque. Hope to get to the next Chapter #29 outing, and the wife gave me the "OK" to Dyno my truck. An after tought, I seemed to be the oldest one there. Was anyone older than dirt, like 63. Had a great time with a great bunch of guys. Thanks all. See you the next time. javahjoeo from Kokomo. AKA Don

472HP and 757 tq

I had 472 and 757, but they kept having trouble with the dyno reading my engine speed. I think they gave me 6 runs since they kept loosing my engine speed. I really need to get a lock up device since I had to start the dyno reading about 50mph to keep the convertor from unlocking. I didn't think the dyno loaded the truck enough, I didn't see egt's over 1400 and I even slid my plate forward after the first run. This was the first time I had dynoed, and I know a few things I hope to have done before next dyno.

I think the Highes HP was 472 which was zstroken and TQ was 1032 by......I forget his name, it was a 24v with stacked boxes and injectors. Good day all around. Glad to see The Scheid Dragster driver was there with some free samples and Automotive Specialists got us all in and out in good time and gave some guys more runs than the 3. I had a good time and maybe my truck will be done in time for the next outing....

dyno ??

Anybody else think that the dynojet doesn't load our trucks enough? I think my torque should have been much higher, but I guess at 50 mph I am probably at around 2200 rpm or so so it probably explains why the tq was so low. Sled pulling I will see egt of around 1800 on the dyno it didn't even break 1400. Just looking for feedback since this was the first time the truck was on the dyno.

I dont think I loaded our trucks enough either. When I made my run in 6th gear and didn't get over 1200 egts and 24 psi of boost. On the road I would have been atleast 1250 egts and 26 psi. Not much difference for me, so it probably didnt affect my numbers as much as yours.

If you were refering to "Don", I didn't get there until about 2 pm. I had an 03 Slate gery that was parked outside the fence, in front. No I did not Dyno. That was my mistake, I should have. See my sig.

Dan/Zstroken,
I think the 472hp is an accurate number as far as the torque goes No since they were losing the signal it was probably low.

The 12 Valves seem to be a little tougher to tune to the dyno although I think it is worth while to dyno street or close to street trucks on a chassis dyno.
