First MD DTR #33 sled pull, April 7th
[QUOTE=Sea:\>Drive;1450622]Yes, of the trucks that TJ beat, wooohooo
Wait until TJ pulls at a real track, with a real sled, at proper weight, against trucks that would eat his for breakfast, like the two that are on those video clips.

Well the two other trucks broke! And they were experienced pullers.
Go figure how a Rookie built a great pullin truck didn't break and finished second on his first time out. I'm sure most guys on their first time out probably don't make it too far and smoke a clutch or two. i know TJ's is in right because i helped put it in.
Maybe those other guys will have their stuff fixed right and give TJ a run for the money.
Let's not try to steal TJ's thunder!!!
Don't worry Tj i got your back.

...It just wouldn't hold in 3rd/4wd lo, I ended up downshifting to second, thats why I just put putted down the track. Unortunately I don't have another clutch. Its not completely gone, though, I can still drive it, but its not holding very well. I was planning on upgrading but now its just going to speed up the process. Looking at the SBC DD 3600 and 1 3/8" input shaft upgrade.

No one is "stealing TJ's thunder".
What is happening here is that TJ got lucky. Those "two trucks that broke" will push more power than Get Blown will push for now. Blowing out freeze plugs is a sigh of relief when you actually know what is done to those trucks and how much pressure those engines are forced to withstand. Rather that then blowing a head.
Not one truck there pulled to its true capacity; therefore Get Blown can't really judge how his truck does compared to others that might be sitting in the dark waiting to pounce. If anyone knows about Rampage and follows how that truck REALLY pulls would know better.
"those guys had experience" Yes, they do. But keep in mind, track conditions are out of everyones control. The only thing you can control is what gear you pull in and what you do with the pressure of your tires. These guys, as said in earlier posts might as well pulled on pavement.
So, the point is no one is bashing Get Blown, but humility travels a long way, especially when you get your butt handed to you in the future, which WILL happen. Everyone's carried their own rear-end home at one point or another.

hey BigNasty4x4 let me know when you get your new clutch and maybe the Chapter #33 boys will get together in the CAVE and help put it in on my lift.
P.J and i put in his new clutch he won on the DTR last Friday, i took about 6 hours. Not too bad.

All in good fun,

That would be great. Did you guys install the 1 3/8" input shaft and a dual disk on PJ's truck too? I think this may be an offer I might not be able to pass up!

BTW....
If anyone's interested, here's a link to a short write up I did on the pull this weekend with a few pics of my pull and the guy i went out there with, josh (cluckmaster), pulling.

I dont know what you pull but you should stop all the trash talking because i met tj and hes a nice guy but your gonna have everyone against him by running your mouth. The only thing i could have done different was put my weight in the bed but i have a fuel cell back there and didnt want that damaged. and i blew a freeze plug, theres nothing i could have done to stop that, those water pumps arent meant to turn over 4500rpms so it happens. ill be at the buck june 9th for the pro street class, i dont know what you have but you should bring it up and run in a real class
