Speaking of racing---did any of you local boys run?? Did Matt and Johnner run??

 

Johnner and I ran last run (for me anyway). He beat me by a couple seconds or more. I had my best run of the night to stay that close, but Johnner was about a second off his best run of the night. I couldn't get back to where I was before my new mods. I've got work to do. Still was a fun night.

What happened to you Phil? Heck, I was back in Winston by Midnight.

Dieing with back issues, can't ride in a car for more than about 40 min. at a time.

Not sure yet, the Dr. thinks it is all muscles??? Must be too much stress from work!

I had a great time too. Get this! I actually drove my truck home from the track.. no pit stops in VA Beach or Raleigh. It's a good thing when the trailers go home empty. Thanks to John P. and Pappa Smurf for bringing them along, you never know.

Phil, you would have appreciated the sign we had placed on John_P's trailer when Mike rolled up. It appropriately said "Parking reserved for Mike D"

Man I wish I could have made it down, ,,,,, I would've missed the B-day party for our 1 yr old grandbaby, but her b-day was actually on the 11th so I figured that wouldn't count against me too bad. Then the septic tank decided that friday would be a good time to stop taking donations. I spent saturday digging in ground that was like concrete to uncover the hatches. Luckily, it ended up being the level switch for the pumping station had gone bad and cost me $260 instead of $800+ for a new pump.

I'm still hoping to go down to Commerce next month and see the go-fast trucks then. I really want to ride with Johnner to witness his shifting,,,, ,,,, He's got to hold the World's-Record for rowing a truck tranny behind a diesel.

Hello All
We also had a great time, Geoffrey and I. We made it home a little after 0200 on Sunday. Those go fast trucks put on a darn good show. I was just glad for our local folks they didn't tear anything up. Both John and I drove home with empty trailers. That is always a good thing.

Are you pulling your 5er down to Commerce? Are you staying at the Pottery Campground? I am about 75% sure I am going to drag our 5er down there. The only reason I am not 100% is because of the chances of another huricane like last year. John_P and I watched the event and shot massive amounts of BS and they drove home to do huricane prep work.
Let me know, some time next week I plan on calling for a spot.
