My faithful trusty kitchen stereo that has been playing steadily for 14 years just became a volunteer for the shoot out. Won't do anything so I guess it is time to retire it gracefully.

I was talking to Dennis 'RattlinRam' yesterday and he brought up a very good point.

Chris Stamey (who hosts this event) hasn't posted in this thread yet.

Is the host aware that on the 23rd of January, his property will be invaded by hordes of diesel-truck driving folks bringing guns?

If not it might make for an interesting lead story on the 10 O'Clock news.

Like DZ says, he'll know real soon. Especially after a few rounds go down range from that AK. Like Clint Eastwood said in heartbreak Ridge, this is the AK 47 and it makes a very distinctive sound when fired at you.

I've been PM'ing him on the event too.

Geeeeezzzzz guys. Ya'll started a new thread on this thing and nobody told ME!!
Tryin' to sneak up on a guy, or what? I would have gotten an email if the other thread was posted to.
I been busy, building databases and roads (ask DD4x4).

I'm all up for whatever.
If we get decent wood to burn we can probly do marshmellows or hot dogs over it, if anyone so desires.

There's an Italian joint, and a BBQ joint about 2 miles away, so one of them should be able to accomodate us. Both have decent food.

We don't have to worry about trash. Anything too big for the can.... well let's just say I have a backhoe, and ain't afraid to use it.

I'll park my truck out by the road again, so people can see where to turn. Just watch for the White 2500 QC.

Does anyone that's coming have a 2000 truck? How about newer that 2000? I need to do some part comparison. Yes, you'll leave with the same amount of parts you came with, but I want to pull a wheel or two.

Chris

Just picked up another micro for the shoot out, thanks to The Gun Rack 2 in Hopewell.

I will have about 18 or so semi's there if you're thinking about buying one, try one before you buy it. The AK will be there along with the brand new lever action 454 Puma, and yep you guessed it, the big S&W 500. Ya'll gotta pay for those rounds though (the 500), they're about $2.50 a shot.

Miles is bringing some wood for the fire. I plan to get there about 09:00 or so to get a good fire going if it is real cold. Got a portable stereo and a cell phone for targets too.
Anyone find any Texas Pete yet?

Is that all, I had to burn the set of Reeboks I wore up there.

Does anyone have any crock pots?
I'm thinking doing a pot of beans or something or are we going to eat down the road?
