Calling Chapter MD#33 & PA#15 toThe Buck June 2nd
Don't understand the bumper thing, but I"m sure one of us would swap out for the weekend to get you inline with the rules TJ.
Now onto this CB thing....I stopped using a CB in the 80's...those things still around? Does this mean I need to dig through the basement and jury rig up a CB in my truck just to communicate? Not that this is a bad idea...

Seriously though they are still used quite a bit. If you require any info on whats current let me know. I also can give you a few antenna mounting ideas if anyone is interested.
well right now i have some work to do in order to make it into the pulls, gotta build DS loops and shields, put the cross bolts in my DP, and contact the buck because as it looks right now, their rules say the truck must have an OEM front bumper. that is the dumbest rule i have ever seen.
If everyone has to run a stock bumper, it evens out the nose weight. I think it's a reasonable rule.
i built my bumper because i didnt have money to buy a new one when my stocker was destroyed...now someone is gonna tell me i have to have a stock front bumper to pull.
im gonna call them and see what the deal is. if its that big of a deal ill take the bumper off and strap it in the bed of the truck to keep all 100lbs back there.
Yes, but 500 lbs in the bed is not near as effective as 500 lbs on the nose when you're pulling. I agree that the new rule is a PITA, but when you aren't running in an unlimited class you have to expect some restrictions.
They have been doing the tug-o-war for the past couple of seasons. It's kinda fun to watch but, the heaviest truck usually wins, pretty easy to pick the winner after the first round.
