In retrospect to the Katrina tragedy I think that it is time that DTR became a viable force on the west coast. Only those committed need apply.

Training is available on a county basis and I'll be looking into Eldorado county very soon stay tuned.

Just Thought You All Might Like This For Fyi....i Was A Mountain Warfare Instructor In The Marinecorp. Stationed In Bridgeport California. The Base Is Called The Marine Corps. Mountain Warfare Traing Center. They Do Alot Of Training Of Civilians There. I Know We Did Several Search And Rescues For Lost Hikers And Campers. You Might Want To Check That Out. The Base Is On Hywy 108 Just East Of Sonnora Pass.

 

That Hiway is one great motorbiking road.... breathtaking at certain points.
