Hey Jordan, I am still of the thought that you have to go in a different direction than the tst. I think that is most of your problems.

Kevin

ps I just was in edmonton, when i left it was +4 and beautiful, by the time I got home -11 4 inches of snow, slippery as he double hockey stick.

been working with a few local companys lately, still trying to get up to gp again,

Jamie, kevin, I think I ll stay with the tst for now, get the egts figured out first, before I add another possible problem.

Once I get this egt problem figured, I may order a smarty, just run it by itself with a cam, clean cool reliable power

tate, it was making roughly 45 psi on the dyno, but I had my eyes glued to the pyro, it hit 1500, quick too, on the highway I had the tst set to 0-0, and would still get to 1350

jeff, that picture would be a big help,

Thanks for all the pointers,

I'm wondering if it maybe a guage problem???? I got one of those handy infared heat guns to double check my pyro guages. Maybe worth checking into while on the dyno to test the temps...

I have swapped the aem dryflow with the bhaf and have had the same readings, both are fairly clean, also I have changed probes.

I still think that the problem is the tst.... have you tried unhooking it all together? (completely unhooking it, not just setting it to stock) If your egts drop alot, problem solved. Another thought would be to go with a water meth system

Another thing, if you were hitting 45 on the dyno, you dont have a leak, for sure.

Problem with those units is that the skin temp of the manifold will not react to the heat as fast as the pyro in the exhaust gas stream. Typically on a quick dyno run, you won't see over 950°F on the infrared and bury the pyro over 1500... Now if you held it at 1500°F for a minute or two then you might get it with the infrared.

BlueDually,

I am with Morkable. There is something up with your timing I would think. That turbo should be good for 500 ponies at least and shouldn't be that hot. I would unhook and go for a spin to see if you still get the 1350°F.

Stripped off the tst today and went for a drive down a soft gravel road,

-COMPLETLY stock fueling
-5th gear
-2500 rpm
-100km/h
-30psi boost
=1400 pre turbo on 2 different pyro probes,
a 3rd one showed 1300, but its totally f'd, (extremly slow to move)

Anybody have any other tips, tomorrow I'll call II, see what they say

Kevin, what do you get for boost with the programer/boxes off?

That might be ur problem right there. I think u have the wrong turbo for ur application. I think u would have been better off with the 62/12 not the 14. I was gonna go with the 14 but after talking with a few different shops, they all told me to go with the 12 cause it will cool better than the 14 and has less lag. I dont know, thats another though for ya. Im gonna get ahold of a Super B Special soon and i can tell u what my temps are like. I should have this next couple weeks or so. Also, how much weight is on the back of that thing???

I "paid for" a SPS 62/14, when I got home, I figured out that it was just a normal Phat shaft, so I got some money back from nadp.

My first choice was the sps 62/14, then a ps 62/12, but ended up with the ps 62/14

gvw is 14 500 lbs, with the trailer on, the gcw is 26 000lbs,

Pulling the trailer would be a nightmare with the egts right now

WOW, I don't know how your egt's can be so high with that turbo. Something is way wrong.

NADP??? If you got a mess up on the product once, you may not even have the 62-14. I would get the numbers to II and see what they can say about it. I am surprised to see that type of boost/EGT on a stock run. No injector work right?

Havent touched the injectors yet, dont plan to either until the stock ones go bad

I also talked to Industrial injection when I was instaling it. We figured it is a Phat Shaft 62/14. There is info on the box, on a tag on the turbo and a tag thats on the bag that the turbo came in. And if i remember right, the ps turbine is smaller in diameter then the sps
