off-topic a bit - but I just saw this ad on Craigslist, if anybody is interested:
4bt cummins engines diesel - $800

i have three cummins 4bt diesel engines. all have pump and turbo. all were running, but cannot say why the third was pulled from service. one running is $1200 the other two are $800 each. also have gm to cummins bellhousing adapter and flywhell for $300. great for swapping into ford, chevrolet, jeep dodge or other. these wont last long. thanks! call or text i dont get to check emails. 731-434-8787
The ad has pics too.

Good find. He needs to lower those prices a little though. I can get a complete running p-pumped engine with TH400 bolted to it for what he is asking for one of his VE pumped turds.

Well, I went with a pair of group 31's in the truck. Fit right in, with the only mods needed were rerouting a couple cables to gain more slack, also had to replace the alternator cable going to the pass side batt cause it was too short. As for the battery boxes, just had to use/adapt some universal hold downs as the stock clamps are obviously useless now.

I will get a pic of how it all looks underhood. They are not AGM type, but are Deka's top line lead-calcium, sealed hd fleet batteries. Only ran $99 a piece at Oriely's. I'm sure that with their commercial grade construction, 1000cca's and 180min reserve capacity, I shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Gee. Looks nice, but not very creative. LOL

You ought to build a battery tray under the bed, near or behind your rear axle - to help with TRACTION!

Now thats creative thinking!

Whats the price on the truck? Keep in mind though, I know who did the head install so that has to bring it down a couple grand.

Yeh, and I know who did all the other work also, so that should increase the value right? As for price, probably too much for your taste, as it's not really on the selling block. But like I said, everything I have is for sale at the right price!!!! Tell me what you would pay for it, and I will let you know if you can come pick it up!!!
