I stayed at the Ramada Inn last year

cost me exactly $224 for 3 nights.

I am waiting to hear back from TS, they are working out special deals/rates for hotel rooms locally.

 

how much do you win for placing? im thinking about going out my aunt and uncles in wyoming and taking my g/f so i may drive down with you guys then head that way. Alot of driving but my g/f has never seen the mid-west.

 

well if the camper goes i will kick in cash for the fuel and most likely ride down with todd since my truck will be on a trailer if i goes down. might not take it if i can't get this knock figured out.

 

i plan on getting a room. i doubt anyone will tow my truck down, so ill probably end up driving out.... no biggie. but it be nice to sit down with everyone thats going and figure out what the game plan is. leaving thursday morning wouldnt be bad.

 

Well i was reading this thread and said something to the Boss about it. So she says when is it? I told her and she said why aren't you going?
I said i didn't think you would like it, ya know me going out and partying for 4 days with the boyz.
So i'm not gonna commit right now but it's definately a maybe. I'll start stocking up on beerz now.
We just need to figure out the logistics of this. Who's going? Who's towing? Who's being towed? and the biggy where's all these trailers coming from?
I'd tow with my truck but with the 4.10's it'd cost a small fortune.
Geiger has a 20' deck over tag i could borrow.

 

Sounds like the boss aproved to me I think that we need to have a meeting about this and get it all ironed out. The sooner we plan the less we will have to screw with later. We can meet at my place if needed. I would like to meet some time next week, or after TJ talks to TS about the hotel, I believe that he has contacted them in reguards to this already.

I have a sort of an ok from the old lady (she hasn't said NO). One other thing to throw out there, I have an 8 passenger van as well that could fit 6 comfortably...no one will want to ride in it 'cause its a ferd...but I'm throwing it out there.

Hotline.com had special internet rates from $60 to $110.
They were all for 4 person accupancy.
Some of the hotels maybe a little further down Interstate 65 or in town more.

From what I can tell fuel for the trucks is around $3.30 a gallon in Bowling Green at this time. Again this is just from some internet searching and nothing in stone. Fuel prices could come down some from what they are now. I don't know what the weather is like there but they may not be running the winter blend in April; when do we stop winter blend?

The campground is $25 a night + taxes. I can handle $75 or $80 bucks.

I figure the worst mileage at 10 mpg towing, high average about $3.459 per gal. for fuel and 740 miles from my house to the campground = about $256.00 to get down there. So about $550 or so round trip for fuel, I guessing high end.

As far as food goes, we can load up coolers and such here and plan for stops along the way to eat out of the camper or fix something up and keep on rolling.

Have you guys thought tent camping at the campground? I have a large tent that can be used also.

Anyway, just thinking outloud, trying to figure out what's going to work best for our group.

Another thing to look at would be to find what kind of group rates we might be able to get.

 

depending on TS this year todd you might be able to just park the camper right on the TS grounds like they did last year.

there may be some CompD staff members with campers at the TS shop...but they are running the event, any of us regular guys would have to camp at Beech Bend

1. Who is racing/pulling
2. Who is towing those racing/pulling
3. Where are we staying
4. Who is going to spectate
5. When are we leaving
6. Who is riding with who
7. Are we loading up the night before or the morning of
8. When are we planning on getting back
9. do we have reservations for where we are staying yet


When is good to have a meeting to work out some of these details. One evening through the week or over the weekend? Or do we just want to do it via PM and on here?
