if you arent drag racing or sled pulling you dont need the intermediate or output

and the goerends in my tow rig with billet input was something like $4500 shipped, id have to look at the receipt.

Seems the experts here already know everything. I'm gonna junk this tranny I got and go pick me up the $6k+ "billet" tranny that is obviously needed for my daily driver, because the Goerend brothers transmission I have thats holding 600hp daily is no where near as good as one of these "billet" transmissions.

If you really want to fight semantics.. Check out HTS's website...

The trans is $5100
flexplate is $425
fluid is $100
plus tax and labor
puts you right at $6K

Check you receipts.. If you add labor and fluids, I'll bet you are right at the same price....

It seems as if your arrogance is clouding your vision. The aforementioned transmission is referred to as full billet, not because the whole thing is milled from a single piece of metal, but because it had a billet input, intermediate, and output shaft (much easier to say full billet).

There are understandings in the usage of words in the diesel world. For example a full billet transmission is a transmission with a billet input intermediate, and output shaft, not a complete transmission machined from a single piece of metal. "Twin" turbos are usually referring to compound turbos as they are sequential, not parallel just for another example of non-gramatically correct terms we commonly use. Think before you type.

The only reason a full billet transmission was brought up was because it was about the same price as a new non-billet transmission and it only had about 2 runs on it. If I had the choice, I would take a slightly used full billet transmission so I could beat the crap out of it and not have to worry about replacing the whole thing if the intermediate or input shaft were to break. (I am comparing to a full non- billet, not the one that was purchased with the billet intermediate to avoid further confusion)

I offered a friend that can rebuild the transmission (which is what any core is used for) but time was a constraint. As a group we offered many feasible suggestions to help out our fellow chapter member. That is why we are on here. No one said "you have to have a full billet", it was only a feasible option.

You stated ALOT of misinformation, so once again, please, do tell!

So tell us about your 600HP truck. Did it Dyno at that number or is that derived from adding up all the advertised HP of the add on's you have?

I agree you don't need a billet trans unless your drag racing or sled pulling.
When the day comes i'll go with a Goerends or Garmon standard duty towing trans.

I've spent many hours on a dyno and yes I have dyno'd over 600, tho I only use it as a tool to help me tune my set-up. I must be dumb and not have a clue what I am doing tho because I don't have any secret parts listed in my signature.

Still waiting on "alot" of misinformation to be expanded upon.

My truck has a flux capacitor...

The stuff in a signature is not for bragging purposes, it is to help other people out and I would take advice on a product if someone actually has something on their own truck rather than I heard of a guy that had a brother, whos cousin that had something close to what you are talking about. Looks like youre driving an air pocket according to your sig.

No one is trying to give you a hard time. We haven't a clue what you drive. You don't have a signature.
1st gen, 2nd or 3rd? It's easy to get high HP with a 3rd gen, but getting there in a VP truck isn't.
So what ya got? Maybe you could bring it to the Cave one day so we can all get a look under the hood.
