Its On the Road

Trailing arm bushings and a muffler later and its on the road fully inspected. Few hundred in parts but I'm still less than $1500 on the road. Kinda fun to drive this little go-kart too. Now just got to find some time to put the new shocks on the truck - have had the Bilstiens sitting in the garage for over a month now and the truck has needs too.

How's that planning for a get together going? Any new news on that?

Its been a while for me, but I'll stop by and help. And ask some questions about fuel pump installations etc.... that I've been thinking about.

Scott, the truck rides great. Smooth, no pulling and/or wobble. New shocks and proper front axle position makes for a good ride. Thanks again.

Thanks again to all the hands involved too.

Happy is my big old truck!

Peace!!

Here's one I took the other day. I have to clean it and put the fender flares back on. Scott suggested puttiing someone in the picture to show height, which I'll get today.

Thanks I really I like it. The boss loves it too. We took a run to Baltimore and she said it rides a lot better.

I took the torque wench to the rear axle U-bolts today. They were all tightened and torqued to specs.

We had to change the brake pads on the Dakota, so no time for the clean up and install of the fender flares.

Good times!!

Peace!!

Alright guys, whats the new "cool" fuel pickup item? Fuel Sump or Draw Straw?

Currently I have the draw straw and I messed up and cut it short. So below 1/3 a tank I suck air. Do I get a new draw straw or try out a sump?

I wanna be able to see the low fuel light come on again!

New straw would be cheaper. Can a section be added? Something to extend the draw straw down lower to the bottom of the tank.

The Air Dog 150 I run has worked great.

We've found that by setting the fuel tank on 4x4's where the straps go will give you a more accurate measurement for the straw. Don't set the tank on the floor and measure.
