Yea I got an update today... not moving in until January because it took BGE a month and a half to realize they need to put in a replacement pole and transformer, all of which needs to be put together by their engineer, approved by someone else and put on their "to do" list. Then after that the well has to be run for 2 weeks to clean out the debris from installation which can't start until we get electricity.
The house was getting dry walled today and everything could have been done in 2 weeks if we had electricity. No occupancy permit without service hooked up and well approved. The builder held his end of the deal but BGE dropped the ball. The thing I dont get is the previous house was built in 2001 with 100 amp service to the garage all run on electricity (no gas out there) so it had to have 200 amp service. The transformer can't be bad either because the neighbor behind me (with the goats) is running his house of the same transformer. But what do I know, I never finished my engineering degree. lol

BGE's expected completion date is December 28th then we have to run the well for 2 weeks.... Mid-January could be the ticket! (I hope) At least the tax credit was extended.

You might as well not expect them to make their date, I have never seen them make one yet. Glad they gave you a date finally though, better than no date I guess. So I take it we are having a party there the first few weeks of the new year then, eh?
