MD Chapter #33 Never Ending thread #VII
so i was wondering... how illegal is it to buy fuel off someone? not so much a gas station, but out of the back of someones truck? i pulled up to the club today for work and a single cab, long bed 2nd gen rolled up after me.. i get out, compliments the truck and proceeds to ask me if i wanted fuel. he said $80 and he will have it running out the neck of the tank.. i actually had just topped off yesterday morning so i wasnt interested. i did the math, for my size tank thats roughly $2.35/gal. is it considered illgeal to sell fule like that, without charging and giving the state its taxes on the gal of fuel?
he also came back after we closed last night... unreal.

I'm pretty sure it is illegal. I know of a bunch of people doing that a last year down in Florida. They were selling fuel out of the back of a big box trucks with a number of 55gal. barrels of fuel. They would actually be on the side of the road selling the fuel. They later found out the fuel had been stolen from several stations in the area.
Just put some tires & wheels up in the classified's.

No thanks. Don't want a used tranny even if it is crazy built. That is too much coin to spend on a piece over the Internet with no previous relationship, etc.. Plus his sig says it is a DTT and his ad says Suncoast? Thanks for the heads up but I know what I'm getting, just not when.
