Glad to lend a hand TJ, I am sore as a heck today but the good news is I have to sit at work and watch two crews play in the dirt and cut down trees today. What fun

I would just get a magnetic base if it was me. I used to have one on my '79 Silverado and it was a 4' mounted to the side of the bedrail behind the cab. I had good range with it but the CB had been modified a little

i got the same cb as scott but i was thinking putting the mount on the center of the roof and running the cable through the back window. aslo this truck wonders all over the road, and has a little bit of steering play and pulls to the right. it isnt bad a say 55-60 put 75-80 and i cant take my hand off the wheel. but my first run up to philly went pretty good ran 70-80 all the way and never went over 2k rpms. hay fuel milage

Oh boy still recovering this morning. My left hand is killing me too..
Now i understand how people get freaked out when trying to remove those pesky unit bearings and we had a 10# slide hammer.
here TJ demonstrates how to open a beer

Trying to get the unit bearing off.

Boots got branded by TJ's truck.

I would say get a willson 2000 mag
Its all ways best to mount the antenna in the middle of the vehicle
Also once u mave the cb and antenna dependin on the cb get them both tunned
And if im right u can tune the radio

for me i have a cobra 29 but same as travis kinda tuned

I'm still around. I've just been working way to much...tis the time of the year. Still have the truck, might be taking it to a Vehicle Broker at the end of the month. I'm lookin for an 00-02 Toyota 4Runner, so if anyone knows where one is for sale, let me know.

Hmmm... Cutting down trees. They can drop off some by here.

Came home this morning it was rather cold out there. Got up and my girlly has a fire going in the wood stove. Have to make another haul soon for firewood at this rate.

Oh well just waking up, I guess it time for some coffee.

Peace...

sorry i had to leave so early. we took my mom out to dinner for her birthday. i was also told that "someone" felt like i lived at scotts since im always there or thinking about heading there. does anyone know any cheap tricks to make more room in the fuel tank. on my ford you can gut some of the vent/baffles and it adds 5 gals. which for me is like another 100 or so miles to a tank. still need to fix my fuel level sending unti too. LOL

How big is your tank? I know that there is the tank vent mod that lets you get more fuel in but not sure how to do it, or where to get the parts. I have a spare tank sitting here if you are interested in trying to rig up dual tanks, or swaping out tanks, let me know and we can work something out.

the owners manual says 35 gals. i was considering saving up and getting a titan fuel tank say 65 gals. i could go almost 1500 miles before fill up. also i the elbows for the pickup/return are looking pretty nasty.
