Better breathing...
None really needed unless you want to go >350hp later in life. Most do an AFE (new dry filter) setup for intake or a BHAF and 4" exhaust. Too many choices. Those two items will carry you through to 500hp range (not give you that, but allow you to go that high).
Some prefer a little bling with their intake (me=AEM Workhorse w/shiny metal), some prefer a little bling in their exhaust and go SS instead aluminized (diesel exhaust doesn't have near the water that gassers do so aluminized lasts a long time).
Stick to dry filter if possible (over oiling an oiled filter makes a mess of the turbo), and the exhuast is all preference and sound. We have probably 10 different options within the chapter you could listen to see what you like for the sound.

4" or 5" I don't think we have anyone with a 5" all the way out back. Sounds deeper (more like a bus or dump truck). I love the sound of mine, 4" all the way back, aluminized, cheapest out there with a lifetime warranty to original purchaser.

Yeah not looking for massive HP in this truck (yet
) Just looking for optimize what I have and I was always told that breathing is key.
I I swiss cheesed the airbox on a Toyota I had and did not notice much of a difference. Has anyone had success with this?

You wont notice any difference in either mod at current power levels as what you have is capable of sustaining more power than you currently have. Swiss cheese will just make your turbo noisier, but no more power. Bigger exhuast may lower EGT slightly, but no more power. Neither mod will give you power at this point, only support it further down the road.

What size exhaust would be good?
