'93 cummins

I have a question for you local guys...A buddy of mine is selling his '93 250 regular cab 4x4 auto with 207K miles. There is a slight issue with rust around the windshield and some other areas. The paint is not good. There is no exhaust after the down tube...bottom line....its not perfect.

I have been asking him to sell me the truck for years, but he never wanted to get rid of it. Now its for sale and he has given me first dibs on it.

What would be a fair price to pay for the truck?

I would say no more than $2500 for the truck or in the range of $2000-2500. Main reason being is the body's condition needing to be repainted and the fact that the rust above the windshield may be more than what it looks like from the outside as far as work is concerned. I know all about it as I have a 93 also with close to if not the same situation his truck is in. If it's completely stock then I'd say the above price range is about fair. Good luck with it.

Man, I just talked with him and he said he wants $4,000 for it. He said the rust around the windshield is "pretty bad".

I offered 3k....we will see.

I wouldn't pay a penny over $2500. Sounds like it's gonna need a new cab.
I don't understand people. We are in a recession and everyone wants top dollar for their junk.

rust around the windshield that's "pretty bad" is not fair condition.

Let it sit a bit longer...he'll come around when no one is banging down his door.

Yeah, he was supposed to get back to me bout my offer, but I never got the call. I talked to a guy who knows the truck and he said also, not a penny over $2500...

I think I lost interest anyway....now since Im out of warranty, I'm thinking bout buying a semi-built tranny. We will see.
