Hi everyone.New to the site and new to diesels.3rd generation Mopar guy,but have always had gas.I finally sold my 06 Megacab Hemi with the hopes of doing better then 10mpg empty and 7-8 pulling my car to the track.I ended up gettin a Silver 05 2500 CTD QC SB 4x4.It has an S&B cai and a Magnaflow exhaust.I've been reading on here about filtration problems,tranny issues ect.Could you guys give me a quick rundown on what to expect and how to maybe cut these problems off at the pass?The truck has 93,000 on it,was bought from a private owner and wasnt used for towing,just commuting.Tranny is stock and i just had the filter and fluid flushed and changed.Under light acceleration it does feel kinda weird 1st to2nd.Like its thinking about it for a second.Only under light acceleration though.Not a slip really,just soft.Under harder acceleration it shifts nice and firm.I'd also like to know about the 2micron(?)filtration?I changed the oil,filter and fuel filter in the driveway,but just used OEM Mopar filters.Thanks for the help or suggestions.Also,are the S&B intakes ok?Heard CAI's let to much dirt in?Have a good one.Love learning about these trucks,just want it to last.Truck seems to run great and its already sold me on diesel from here on out.
