My first Diesel, I'm lovin it, but don't know where to start Sharpening performance.

John, welcome to DTR. As a rule, the first piece of gear you should lay your hands on is a quality set of gauges, including a pyrometer.

I agree with what Rick told you, start with some good gauges (Pyrometer, Boost minimum) maybe add a good aftermarket air filter (AFE, Volant, S&B)
and then look at a mild tuner or programmer until you beef your transmission up.

Thanks for the reply, I'm looking at getting a bullydog, PMT with built in guages etc, do you recommend getting gauges separate from the integrated ones on the lcd?
