CA Newbie

Hey all, First time joining this forum. I owned a 2005 2500 2WD SLT Auto Diesel for a few years. I've been without a truck for while. I have a deposit down on a 2011 2500 4WD SB Big Horn 6-speed manual (w/ 3.42).
I plan to pick it up in two weeks. I still have one lingering question... why is the manual tranmission curb weight about 1000lbs heavier than an equally equipped automatic?

Looking forward to learning all i can about deletes. I live in CA, so i need to do my homework so i can still pass emissions.
Thanks in advance for all your help and support.

Welcome to the DTR.

I'm not sure why it is different, but I remember the question being brought up in the 6.7 forum recently...
