Won't start problem!!

Ok, I think I already know the problem but I am just checking. This evening I was driving along, and the truck started stumbling and as I coasted to the side of the road it died. Fuel gauge reads 1/4. Won't start, sounds like it out of fuel, just happened to get ahold of buddy in the area ( the truck is 40 miles from home) he gets me and we put 8 gallons in, still won't start, got fuel in the filter, getting fuel to the lines (cracked a line open, had fuel) still won't start. No codes on truck. So my question is what do I do now? Could it be the lift pump is going out or is too weak to get enough fuel? ANy ideas? thanks. MO AGGIE

4door, I thought the 04's had a better system than the 02's. Not sure. I guess I will have to get it towed home this morning and try and figure it out. Now I have to lose a day of work to get this home and get it fixed. I guess I am going to try and find a replacement fuel pump locally and see if that will get it going until I can get the money for a FASS system. Good luck with your truck.
