Exclamation Won't Start

Help, please! Temperature hit -12 F last night, and I didn't have any anti-gel in the fuel. Truck was plugged in all night, fired up instantly this morning at 7:00. Ran for about 5 minutes, then stalled. Sounds like gelling, right? Won't restart. Won't even smoke or sputter. It's been plugged in all day, so the motor is still warm, and now the air temp is 24 F, but still no go. I replaced the fuel filter, and filled it with an emergency anti-gel, plus a bottle of anti-gel in the tank as per the directions, then hand primed the system. Still no go. My last effort was to remove the shut-down solenoid plunger, just in case my solenoid had crapped out by amazing coincidence, but after reinstalling the solenoid sans plunger, truck still won't start.

Anybody ever have one die from gelling, then get her going again on a first gen?

Was the fuel a winter blend from the station, if it gets that cold where your at it usaly is a winter blend , but sounds like lift pump , crack the lines like Tool says.

Last week mine did the same thing yours did, except I hadn't had it plugged it when I first started it. I plugged it in, added anti-gel to, replaced the fuel filter, cracked the line open on top of the fuel filter and manually pumped it for a while and it finally started.

How long did you prime it for? Definitely sounds like air in the system.

Combustion!

Thanks Tool, I cracked the #1 injector line, cranked the starter for about ten seconds, cracked #2, cranked the starter and by this time she started to sputter on one cylinder. After I tightened #2 back down, the ol' girl fired up on only two cylinders for about 30 seconds then the others caught and she sprang to life! Looks like the plugged filter caused the injection pump to suck/push some air into the high pressure lines.
