98 24 valve code reader said injector pump timing failure more than 5 seconds how do you fix this? will start with starting fluid

See what happens when that starting fluid hits the grid heaters if they're on..

What exactly is your problem? Be specific and you will get a direct answer..

 

How much( or how little) is the fuel pressure? Is there any fuel leaks?
Possible VP-44 failure.

 

Give your location , someone may be in your area .
Check lift pump pressure , the main pump in those trucks can make the truck start & run , but that ends up killing the pump over time .
But again specific facts , what code number ?
The main problem with starting fluid is if the grid heater is operating when you spray [ BANG ] , disconnect the grid heater relay , and spray very little starting fluid .

 

Had the same code when I started the truck after I put an engine in it,if you are low on fuel could be you are suckin air.
try replacing that little valve on the return banjo,if that don't fix it I'd bet it's you VP.
