Where is the fuel filter for 5.9 1990 350?

Greetings!
With unprecedented cold weather my diesel is down. I'd had it plugged in, it started right up, went a couple of miles before acting way sluggish, finally stalling out. It has been suggested that I change the fuel filter, and I hope that 's the simple solution! I just need to know where it is, so any help will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks and Best Wishes,
Bettina

See is it on the drivers side, middle of the motor, middle ways up and mounted under the fuel pump. Disconnect the wire connector on the device mounted on the bottom of the filter (Water in Fuel sensor,WIF), unscrew the filter from it's mount, unscrew the WIF sensor from the filter, screw the WIF sensor with a new o-ring onto the new filter.

Fill filter with clean fuel.

Screw new filter w/new o-ring onto the filter mount, connect the WIF sensor wire connector then start the motor.

Probably better throw some Power Service in there too. It sounds to me like your diesel gelled.
