What is this & what does it do?

I was in the process of bleeding out the new IP and noticed a fuel leak. When the LP is running there is a steady drip coming from this sensor thingy.

It is located on the back of the block right where the #6 injector line is and the return line goes around the back of the block.

I'm wondering if I can run to NAPA and get another O ring or teflon tape it so it will stop leaking.

M guess is it;s either the MAP or IAT sensor. I don't think you want to use any sealer or tephlon on it as it'll need a ground to work. The nylon washer that you can see on it is the seal. Your not going to get just that. You'll need to get the entire thing.

That is the Air Intake Temperature sensor. There already is an o-ring on it. Look around, your fuel leak is somewhere close by, but not that sensor.

That's what I was thinking. An AIT would not have fuel on the other side. It looks like it's had something above it and leaking onto it.

you forum guys are correct once again. Fuel from the injectors was leaking down and dripping off right there.

Thanks a bunch
