What is this plug for? I'm was going to install my brake controller and saw it? It is located to the right of the "HOOD" latch inside the truck. Thanks!! (Thanks Shovel for the quick approval)

Wow, Thanks! I still don't know why it would have a plug right there unless it had something to do with wiring up the brakes. Maybe its for anti-lock TRAILER brakes

My 93 has the RWAL module behind the glove box. No idea what that plug is. Mine doesn't have it. Heres a pic of where the red wire goes to on my brake controller. It's the white wire without the stripe.[IMG][/IMG]

The two pin plug is for the RWAL. There is a connection process to connect to that lead to test the RWAL module.

The red wire to your controller would go to the output wire from the brake lite switch up by the pedal. I can't remember which one I used, but a testlight made the decision pretty straight forward.

I am pretty sure that thats the plug for a tach. Should be a 4 pin plug? The 91.5-93's were pre wired for a tach and thats the plug for it.

That is not the Tach harness. That is the RWAL harness. The Tach hookup is up under the dash closer to the dash cluster on the loom from the steering column and it is a 4 pin connector, Ground, Power, Illumination and Tach signal..

As far as the "Jake Brake" hook up, I would say no.. That system would be a totally separate add on. There was NO pre-wiring for an exhaust brake. You might have pre-wiring for a brake controller if the trailer package was installed at the factory.
