I am away from my truck right now and am pricing tires, does anyone know the weight of the front on diesel 01 2wd quad cab? Tire shop is telling me i should have 10 ply because 8 ply is only good for 5000 lbs total.

 

the tire shop is full of it, they are trying to sell something you do not need.... the stock tires are good for 2900 each,
you would never reach that weight

 

The weight is around 4200 lbs.
