Well, the pan has a lot of metal and clutch material in it. So it's getting rebuilt for $3200.00...

OUCH!!!!

I feel for ya man. Thats just crazy. My dad just had his E4OD (92 Ferd Diesel) overhauled and it cost $1900. I just don't see how folks can sleep at night knowing that they charged someone a price like that. I guess I can't gripe about my clutch costing me $425!!!

Again, I feel for ya. That's gotta hurt!!!!

It does hurt but it was expected. I knew when I bought this truck the tranny would be the week link. I just didnt expect it to go at 53000 miles....

my 96 got a rebuild and upgrade at around 60K (nothing was bad yet, just had an after market warranty and wanted to take advantage of it. Converter that died was a rebuild and got about 50K. Re-Re-build put in a HD rebuild TC which the TC rebuilder provided at the cost difference between the standard that failed and the HD - around $225. Trans shop I use is a friend did my rebuild at wholesale - $1700. (and around here that's a legit wholesale price)

another question if yall dont mind about my dads 05 2500 4x4 doing kinda the same thing but his does it when he has the cruise is set and taps the breaks, it will not stop unless you push them pretty hard and the rpms rise a pretty good amount but eventually it will turn off the cruise. pretty much like stated above trying to drive throught the breaks, but the truck does not shake....
