Great Place to camp or walk trails or drive a Dodge... The Trees love it!

Hahaha...I was over at Memorial Park a couple weekends ago. I came through Redwood city out to the coast then up to Ocean Beach.

In fact here's my evidence.

I've been addicted to driving my truck to Big Sur and back..

It is just absolutely Amazing that drive... and the Gray Whales were everywhere!

There is something special about that drive... and when I do drive it I hog the whole Bixbey bridge!

 

I've been to Morro bay and we hit Monterey a couple times a year, but for some reason I've never gone the coast route across the Bixby.

We dropped out at Pescadero and then headed North to Ocean beach.

The kids (2 not pictured) had never seen a Banana slug, so I woke them up on a Saturday and said let's giddy up. I'm in the Eastbay halfway between Stockton and Oakland, so it was a nice drive for a Banana slug.

Yep, those things make me jump. Jerusalem Cricket, first one I saw I was about 6yrs old, I noticed the stripes and thought it was a Bee, ran all the way home.

Ever touch a Banana Slug, the slime doesn't come off, it's akin to sap.

 

Ain't the banana slugs the ones were if you touch them and then put your finger in your mouth your tung will go numb? I did it once at a camp in Jr high

See the camp consolers did not lie to us thinking we were dumb kids in Jr high LOL

I don't recall that, but I do remember as a kid our right to passage was to lick one? Guess the parents knew what it did.
