Wait to start light comes on/ goes off when clutch is pushed in

Wait to start light comes on/ goes off when clutch is pushed in
I have a 98 12v and the wait to start light comes on and stays on. I have a reader for the computer so i can shut off the fault. Will come back on when I start it, but when I push in the clutch it goes off?
