VP44 need help fast

2000 w/6spd. From what I can tell this is the HO 245hp engine? Is this correct? I'm trying to buy one from a 2001, not sure of the trans, but the guy says it's a HO, but he said it's a 235hp engine. Can anyone tell if this matters? My local Dodge dealer said there is two reman. numbers? Will either work on my truck? Thanks.

I'm going to say it's a SO, don't think the HO came out till 01. there was some 6 speeds with 1 1/4 input shafts made in 2000 and I think 1999

The pumps are NOT interchangable, make sure you have the right one.
As far as I know the "HO" was only in the 01' with 6 speed.
A 235 is not "HO" you get another 10hp for the aggrivation of dealing with the "HO"
I know I got one,and the pistons are not the same either....
