I agree on the Defect. How many people are buying these truck and never owned a diesel before and are just shutting down as if they were still driving a gasser?? If it was due to not letting it cool I think there would be a lot more people asking "Why did my turbo fail"

Um, .............MOST.

My father in law has had two Powerchokes, neither one have ever been idled before shut down, that includes heavy interstate towing too.

Lucky I guess?

Exactly.

It would just suck to get a NEW motor and all the unknowns that come with something like that, mechanic's rash, "oops, we have an extra bolt", "where did this wire go?", etc.

Sounds like a bad turbo from the get go, very unusual though.

Been there done that!! Take something apart and put it back together and have leftover stuff
