truck wont start
Re:truck wont start
Heck of a first post dude.
Try turning the key to the on position.
"Bump" the starter (momentarily engage the starter)
This will signal the lift pump to run for 30 seconds.
Do this 7-8 times.
I do this before I attempt to start the truck after changing the filter.
If the lift pump is good, this should refill the fuel filter canister and purge most of the air from the fuel lines.
Then attempt to start.
It might take awhile.
Only crank the engine for 20 seconds or so at a time, then let the starter cool for a minute.
If it doesn't fire up after a couple of tries, you'll need to crack a couple of injector lines to bleed the air out of the injection pump.
Let us know when you get it running, or if you need more assistance.

Re:truck wont start
If all else fails crack the lines that go into the head (FUEL) they all don't have to be opened just the ez ones.
mine did that turned out the lift pump was weak, after replacing it never had the problem agan

Re:truck wont start
Last time I changed out a filter the lift pump wasn't working either..
Couldn't get one right away so I took an in-line (GM) electric fuel pump and plumbed it into the filter housing to prime the system.
Primed the system, unhooked the GMC electric pump and the truck started fine on it's own 'till I was able to replace the lift pump.
Hope this helps,
Bill
