Unhappy Truck starts then dies

I have a stock '96 2500 with 190,000 miles. Each morning it will start, but dies in about 10 seconds. It will start back after cranking for sometime, but then idles very rough. It does the same thing after it is warmed up if I park on a steep incline. I have replaced the fuel filter. Please help.

Sounds like air getting in to the fuel system. Check all your lines, if good go to the tank. the pick up has a tube coiled from the connections to the screen and sometimes will get a pinhole rubbed in the tube.

fuel lines fuel lines fuel lines... lol

You can do it!!! Replace those suckers as you are most certainly getting air in the system. look for any kind of weeping on the lines, that will tell the tale in most cases.
