I have a buddy with a Smarty. Would that work?

 

I would think so, sure couldn't hurt at this point plus you get high idle feature

 

I reflashed the computer with a buddy's Smarty soon after I put the new pump on, but I took it off when he left. I kept the Comp on. Are you guys suggesting that I have a bad Comp? When you say you removed your Comp, did you remove it completely never to be put on again, or is this just something you do every now and then when it acts up? Would sending the Comp in to Edge to get it updated do anything?

 

BTW, the no start has happened without the Comp hooked up.

 

I have my comp box off,it hasnt been on for a month+ now. I am not sure if im going to try to get it fixed,it is 4 yrs old+,but these things werent cheap.The truck is a touch sluggish,but i dont care for the winter,its just a work/plow truck now.

 

Yesterday morning I started it, it ran for a few seconds and died, and it started right back. It did not sputter or anything. Just died. I am going by a friend's house after work to scan the codes. I will post anything I find.
