Fuel pressure has been at 15 psi idle, and never drops below 13.

I had this code once, It happend to me afted I gave the engine a good washing, apparently some water got in the plug that connects to the vp. Disconnect that plug and see if its corroded or burned, that might be your problem.

I have been all over that plug since I have had the truck. I removed and inspected it first thing, and there were no bent, corroded, or burned pins or sockets. Cleaning with electrical contact cleaner did not help this time, either.

try unhooking the comp box, that was my problem.I dont know yet if it was the box or the harness or a connection, but removing the box,the code is gone, and no more problems.I have been plowing quite a bit,the truck has about 75 hrs on it since i unhooked the comp box,no problems at all.It takes all of 5 minutes to unplug the data connector and reconnect the stock map.Just try it,i was stubborn and didnt do it,for 3 months i went crazy with my truck. BTW i have over 135K,original vp44,it is still perfect,i was geting ready to swap it out.

I have a remanned pump sitting here on the bench. The only problem is, I need a new mounting bracket. The bracket on there was the older model that's welded, and it broke. Anyone have the Cummins part number for the new bracket, and a place to get it?

Reset what? This time it happened with the Comp unplugged, so I don't see how it could be that.

Got the pump on with the new bracket. I bled the pump and lines, and it fired right up on the second crank. No codes, and it runs like a scalded dog. When I bled the lines using the lift pump there was quite a bit of fuel coming out of the lines, where there was not much more than a dribble with the old pump. So, I would say I diagnosed it properly, and I should not have any more trouble out of it. Thanks for all the help!

I lied. It has thrown the code twice and not started. When it reused to start I let the lift pump stop running, then tried again, and it started fine. Now that the VP is eliminated, possibly for no reason, does anyone have any more ideas? I am pulling my hair out!

Just a thought......
Pull the positive cables and turn the key on for several hours. That might reset everything.
Once I removed the edge product and cleared all the codes w/ a scanner they never reappeared.
