Every morning I try to start my truck it is very hard to start and I have to keep pumping the pedal to finally get it to turn over and then it will run ruff for a minute and white smoke comes out of the exhaust pipe and then it will smooth out and run good all day HELP.

but I guarrantee someone will be along all full of knowledge.

The [problem will probably be leaking rubber fuel lines. The lines may not obviously be leaking fuel, but they will be drawing air as the engine cools.
If you look at the engine from the driver's side, the lines run behind the fuel filter.

The repacement isn't easy, but it is cheap. I recommend that you replace both supply and return lines with diesel rated hose all the way to the tank.

Check the top of Your tank at the module for rusted or broken fittings, also check the lines from the tank straight to the engine, gotta be a leak somewhere. Just went through this awhile ago, what a PITA.
