Transmission Lever Spring..
Transmission Lever Spring..
First, vehicle information:
1993 Ram 250 4x4 Diesel with a 5 speed.
I was going to change the fluid in my transmission, because one of the panels on the side was leaking, So I took apart the shifter to fill through the top after reading about the main bearing problems people have had with just filling to normal capacity. When I took the shift lever out, under that there is a spring, that spring is broken in two pieces. I've called the dealer and they have no part number listed for the spring, and want to sell me the whole top cover with the forks and rods (which mine are almost like new) for $500. All I need is that spring, I dont know if anyone knows of where I can find one, has a part number or anything, currently the truck is stuck sitting with the top cover off the tranny. I would appreciate any help you can offer, thank you in advance!
